Digidocs

Most research is published in academic journals, and is seldom seen or heard of by the general public. Research DigiDocs are short (3-5min) films in which key research findings are explained in everyday language, using interviews, edited footage of fieldwork and experiments, digital graphics and animation, voiceover and music.

Research DigiDocs are designed to give the media some relevant images and a plain language sound bite or two. They raise the profile of the research and of the researchers. They can be distributed in a variety of ways - online, on mobile phones, on DVD, on media websites, on campus.

They can be packaged together under topics (eg EnviroDocs, HealthDocs, EduDocs, etc.) and screened in foyers and waiting rooms, on aeroplanes and in airline lounges, at trade shows. They make a great calling card.

Research DigiDocs are generally based on peer- reviewed work already accepted for publication, written and scripted in close collaboration with the researcher/s and directed by fresh creative talent to ensure bright new ideas and the latest digital technology.
